THE PAST FEW years have seen the return of many 90s trends – chokers, slip dresses, and crop tops, to name but a few. But did you ever think rip offs would be cool again?
You didn’t, but they are. It’s happening. Let’s have a look at the evidence, shall we?
On September 10, Madonna attended Alexander Wang’s fashion show wearing a corset and tracksuit bottoms. But not any tracksuit bottoms.
See how they flap open at the ankles? They’re rip offs.
Soon after, it emerged she was wearing clothes from Wang’s new line for Adidas – so not only are they rip offs, they’re high fashion rip offs.
Next, on September 24, up and coming US popstar Tinashe attended an awards show wearing…
Yep. Rip offs.
Then, we discovered that Zara are selling a sort of formal rip off as part of their Autumn/Winter collection:
The final bit of incontrovertible proof? Kim Kardashian was sporting a pair on her Snapchat yesterday.
